All of our free-range chicken comes from Castlemead Poultry, located at Heywood Farm in Radstock, near Bath. With a rich farming heritage dating back to 1940, Stuart proudly continues his family’s tradition as the third-generation farmer dedicated to ethical, high-welfare poultry farming.
At Castlemead, our chickens are slow-grown and live twice as long as standard supermarket birds. From dawn until dusk, they roam freely across lush fields, naturally foraging to supplement their diet of locally grown and milled cereals. This results in healthier, more flavourful poultry with superior texture and taste.
For their safety, the chickens return to their houses at night, where they rest securely away from predators. This commitment to free-range, high-welfare farming ensures our poultry is not only delicious but also responsibly raised.

Your order will be delivered straight to your door by one of our Love What You Eat distributors or by national courier service within 2-3 days of placing your order.
We offer delivery on all orders to mainland UK postcodes with the exceptions of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, all Scottish Islands, highlands and North of Falkirk.
